Overview

The Undergraduate Certificate in Health Science combines first year units that introduce foundational knowledge of the Australian healthcare system. This certificate provides an understanding of the Australian indigenous health context, cultural safety and respect, the means to understand, and communicate, what is evidence in healthcare, and a basic understanding of how the healthcare system works in Australia

This certificate provides students with the opportunity for further study by providing a pathway into the Bachelor of Health Science.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Majors

Health science.

Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates will be eligible to enrol into the Bachelor of Health Science which provides opportunity for employment in a number of public health and health science fields.
