Overview

This course provides you with an introduction to the biological, social, psychological and movement sciences in sport. You will complete studies in sport and exercise psychology, functional kinesiology, motor learning, and social dimensions of sport and exercise to acquire a broad basis of knowledge and skills in sport science.

The course offers you an opportunity to further your career in sport science to support participation and performance in sport and exercise informed by a range of sport sciences.

The Undergraduate Certificate in Sport Science provides a pathway into our Bachelor of Sport Science, Bachelor of Exercise Science (Clinical Practice), and Bachelor of Exercise Science (Sport Practice).

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Majors

Sport science.
