Comments
This unit is a good introduction into what to expect if you are planning to major in banking and finance. It introduces you to a range of markets and how each one operates respectively. The major assignment is a business report (2,500 words +/- 10%) due late in the semester. It requires a lot of research and referencing to score highly. The lecturers can be difficult to understand at times, but if you keep up to date with everything - you will be fine. It is imperative you complete the weekly tutorial questions because the final exam questions are taken straight from the tutorial questions. Participation is an easy 5% as long as you do the tutorial questions. Overall, AFF1300 is a good unit, however, the content can be dry and boring at times.
