This subject is notorious for being difficult. There is a touch of 3U and quite a bit of 2U in there. The first week is only a review of algebra and functions, then it goes onto logs, matrices, derivatives, uni variate optimisation, partial differentiation and inference in the simple linear regression. Understanding this subject is quite hard (especially the more abstract concepts like optimisation) and z planes.



As for the quizzes, they aren’t too hard (basically an application of class content). The group assessment is fine (given that there a few people doing it with you). It should be something like a hypothetical case study, with data.

The final exam does require quite a bit of study as the concepts aren’t straightforward.
