Overview

This course equips students with practical skills and prepares them to assess and inspect staged works for domestic and residential buildings. Training focuses on developing skills that are highly desired by employers, across a range of areas such as building legislation and auditing, fire safety design and inspection procedures, construction and building materials. In addition, students develop professional practice and communication skills and explore the principles of sustainability. They learn directly from professionals working in building and construction to graduate work ready and equipped with up-to-date industry-relevant knowledge. Students have the option to continue their studies and complete CQUniversity's Bachelor of Building Surveying and Certificate (Honours).
