Good management practices are critical to the success of modern businesses. La Trobe's major in management gives you a solid foundation in the theories, concepts and processes that drive the management of contemporary organisations.

Offered through La Trobe's Bachelor of Accounting, you'll investigate critical elements in the management of modern businesses, including ethical practices, the management of organisational change, the development of strategies and competitive advantage, international business management and more.

La Trobe's Bachelor of Accounting gives you the technical and human skills you need to adapt and thrive in our era of digital transformation. You’ll develop vital skills in accounting, information systems, finance, economics, management and data analytics tools. You’ll also build a deep understanding of financial accounting, business law, management accounting, auditing and assurance, forensic accounting and taxation.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
