Overview

From award-winning buildings to urban and community transformation, Monash Architecture focus on improving our society's lived experience with spaces that are inspiring, inclusive and sustainable.

This degree prepares you with a solid architectural foundation with extensive design studio classes covering a range of architectural practices on global, urban and social issues. Studios are conducted by academics and practicing architects allowing you to follow your architectural interests and develop your own way of practicing. Studio learning is complemented with theory and contextual units in areas such as architectural design, materials, structural, construction, history and communication. This ensures you gain the critical knowledge and skills to be a successful architect. There are also options for international travel through our travelling studios.

Our graduates are guaranteed a reserved place in our 2-year Master of Architecture (on your path to become a registered architect).

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
