Overview

Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people pursuing undergraduate study now have unparalleled access into a range of globally recognised degrees at Monash University. The Indigenous Entry Scheme offers applicants admission to the degrees with a significantly lower Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) requirement. There are no special classes, extra requirements or time added to the course for students admitted under the Indigenous Entry Scheme and students will graduate with the same Monash degree as any other student.

Our unique Bachelor of Art History and Curating degree will equip you with skills to help you succeed in a creative and influential career as a curator, researcher, or writer. You'll learn about the history of art from foremost scholars and art writers, and acquire skills in the theory and practice of curating from leaders in the field. You will gain hands-on experience developing an exhibition with an internship opportunity in the sector.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).

Majors

Art History, Curating, Curatorial Practice, Visual culture.
