Overview

Demand for popular artworks and interest in galleries, museums and cultural events have always been high. The sector is constantly seeking graduates with a specialised knowledge of art history and curating coupled with exceptional business skills.

Responding to the demand for art administrators and artists with first-class business savvy, this double degree develops your skills in areas like management, marketing, accounting or international business to support your creative endeavour or other artists to excel in the sector.

In the Bachelor of Art History and Curating you'll learn about the history of art from foremost scholars and acquire skills in the theory and practice of curating from leaders in the field. You'll gain hands-on experience developing an exhibition concept with an internship opportunity in the museum and gallery sector. You will also have a choice of 12 business majors from the Bachelor of Business to complement your art history and curating knowledge.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in Maths: General Mathematics or at least 22 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
