Overview

This degree is designed to produce knowledgeable, articulate and innovative graduates recognised by their skills to think systematically and critically, gather and evaluate evidence from many and diverse sources, communicate clearly and apply ethical principles to decision making for a variety of professions and industries.

The degree allows students to explore vital contemporary issues from political, cultural, historical, sociological or philosophical perspectives to develop practical skills in the humanities, social sciences and creative arts. The three-year program offers the choice of more than 20 majors and minors in the humanities, social sciences, and visual and performing arts to encourage students to design their own academic program that reflects their intellectual interests and career aspirations. High achieving students have access, by invitation, to a Scholars Program within the degree. The degree is available in a standard 3-year duration and an accelerated 2.5-year option.

Roles may include historian; social scientist; political analyst. Completion of a Master of Teaching may lead to employment as a teacher.
