Study, flexible degree that you can tailor to your specific interests and career goals. Choose, double major combining two distinct fields of study. Develop your writing, communication, presentation, digital and research skills through practical learning and project-based work.

Explore historical and contemporary experiences of Aboriginal peoples in Australia and internationally. Acquire, wide understanding of different aspects of Aboriginal cultures and how these have undergone change and adaptation, and develop skills in constructing critical arguments and analysing topics in terms of their historical and contemporary contexts. Graduate with cultural, cognitive and technical skills to work and collaborate with Aboriginal community; creative skills to exercise critical thinking and judgement in identifying opportunities and solutions to problems related to colonisation and globalisation in contemporary societies; and communication skills to present, clear, coherent and independent exposition of knowledge and ideas within the local and global society.

This program enables students to explore and develop their interests through, wide diversity of experiences and opportunities, including community and industry engagement, overseas exchange programs and/or the prestigious Hawke Ambassador Program.

If you finish your degree with, credit or higher grade point average (GPA) you could also be eligible for the one-year Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree (4BH018).
