Overview

This specialised program provides opportunities for motivated Indigenous Australians to study the Bachelor of Arts. The Bachelor of Arts (Extended) has been developed specifically for Indigenous Australians as an alternative to direct entry into the Bachelor of Arts.

It is a four-year degree that begins with a year dedicated to the study of Indigenous knowledges led by Indigenous scholars. In the first year students will complete academic subjects designed to enhance Indigenous knowledges, connect to Wurundjeri land as well as focus on developing approaches to research and communication, leadership potential and teamwork skills.

With these skills and knowledge in place, students will be able to build an Arts degree with a major (or majors) of their choice in the second, third and fourth years. Students will benefit from intensive support and mentoring and an opportunity to live on campus in one of our residential colleges.
