Overview

Why do people think, act and feel the way they do? Psychology is about unpacking the mysteries of the human mind to overcome challenges, unlock potential, and create a better future for ourselves and those around us.

What will you do?

Our Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) has a strong focus on teamwork, collaboration, and industry internships. You will:

  • study the human mind and how it works
  • unpack human development, behaviour, intelligence, personality, conformity, maladjustment, learning, motivation and emotion
  • understand a range of methodologies used to collect and analyse data
  • apply your newfound understanding to solve practical problems
  • develop critical thinking, research and communication skills
In addition to psychology, our Bachelor of Arts program allows you to explore other interests by taking a minor (or another major) in a different discipline area. You can choose elective courses from the broadest range of study areas in the Arts in South Australia.

Where could it take you?

You could work in human resources, community services, consulting, or marketing. You might campaign for better public health and wellbeing programs. Perhaps you'll go on to study further in the clinical field and become a qualified psychologist.
