Overview

This dual degree allows students to take two degrees and gain a teaching qualification underpinned by strong disciplinary knowledge in selected teaching areas. The arts component provides content knowledge in a wide choice of majors. The secondary education component provides the skills, knowledge and practical experience required for teacher registration and employment. The course prepares students to teach across secondary schools, and offers practical school-based learning, drawing on current research into effective teaching methods. It prepares students for the challenges of secondary school teaching through on-campus lectures, tutorials and workshops integrated with practical experience in schools. Majors

Ancient history/history; Chinese or Chinese translation and interpreting; drama; economics; English; film and television studies; French or French advanced; geography; German; Japanese or Japanese advanced; legal education studies; mathematics; media and digital cultures; music or popular music and technology; psychology; Spanish. Specialisations: Music.
