The heart of any business is its people. In La Trobe’s major in human resource management, you’ll be equipped with the skills to manage people and help businesses and organisations operate more effectively.

Offered through La Trobe’s Bachelor of Business, in this exciting major you'll explore the theories, concepts and processes that drive human resource management to achieve positive organisational outcomes. You'll learn about strategic human resource management, recruitment and selection practices, employment relations, performance management and more.

With La Trobe's Bachelor of Business, you’ll develop solid foundations in business and learn how to thrive in a digitally disrupted world. You’ll gain foundational knowledge and enterprise skills in management, organisational structure, data analytics, ethical business practices and more. You'll have the flexibility to choose from a wide range of majors and minors, and the option to study from another discipline.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
