Overview

This is an expansive degree, designed to give you the broad range of skills and experiences you'll need for a career in business. You'll start by studying the core units of accounting, marketing, business law, management, economics, business statistics and finance. Then, once you have a taste for each area, you'll choose to major in one or two areas to develop deeper skills. In fact, your second major can be from within the Monash Business School or a different faculty.

You can choose to study an additional language, design, information technology or media and communications to complement your business study. Or you might choose a range of units to broaden your knowledge, experience and enjoyment. This course also includes a second-year integrating unit to give you the practical skills, abilities and growth mindset needed to succeed in 21st century workplaces. Your final year will include a capstone unit to help you demonstrate what you've learned in a practical context or setting.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 22 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or at least 25 in Maths: General Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
