Overview

Develop key insights into the events sector and gain the skills to create, manage and market events that make an impact. This course provides a thorough grounding in business and event management that will enhance your capability for careers within the events sector both in Australia and overseas.
 
The course comprises 24 units, including core business units, specialist units, elective units and a stream of Business Challenge units, which are designed to build and enhance your skills in critical thinking, academic writing, teamwork, problem solving, project management, career preparedness with an entrepreneurial mindset and global perspective. You can complete a second major from a list of 11 business fields. Completing at least one Work-Integrated Learning unit is required and will provide you with an opportunity to enhance practical work skills with one of the University's many industry partners in the events sector, prior to graduation.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.
