Overview

By choosing Human Resource Management you'll learn fundamental theories and strategies to successfully manage human resources, professional development and employee relations.  Strong theoretical frameworks used in the human resource management area will underpin these specialist skills.

The course comprises 24 units, including core business units, specialist units, elective units and a stream of Business Challenge units, which are designed to build and enhance skills in critical thinking, academic writing, problem solving, project management career preparedness, with an entrepreneurial mindset and global perspective. You can also complete a second major from 11 business fields giving you opportunity to broaden your career prospects. Work-Integrated Learning units are available and provide opportunities to apply learning and enhance practical work skills preparing students for employment.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.
