Overview

Develop the skills and knowledge to build a successful career in the property industry.

This course provides students with a strong grounding in property studies, achieving skills and knowledge in specific fields such as property development, property investment, property valuation, funds management, property management, consultancy and property analysis.

The first year is common to the property, construction management and project management courses, enabling students to work collaboratively in activities and assessment around each discipline area. From year three, students complete three research related subjects.

Students can choose to minor in Property in a Global Context, Construction Innovation and Digital Technology, Managing Construction Business, Construction Cost and Contract Management, Further Project Skills, Project Management Practice, Urban Strategy and Sustainable Planning, Blockchain Enabled Business, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Financial Planning or Marketing.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL or at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL); Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

This qualification can lead to careers including property developer, property fund manager, property valuer, portfolio manager, asset manager, property analyst and property researcher.
