Overview

This international business degree builds students' ability to analyse and interpret global business trends through the study of international business and management, global marketing, social sciences and trade.

This four-year course consists of a common core in business, major studies in international business, and the option to choose a minor or electives from business or other disciplines, including foreign languages, international studies, communication, politics, conflict and mediation. 

In third year, students undertake a compulsory work placement, and in the final year, a business design project is designed to consolidate the theoretical and work experience components of the course.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates are typically employed in finance, marketing, public relations, or logistics teams in corporations whose core business is the export and import of goods and services. Other typical career destinations include consultancy companies advising private and public sectors, and government departments and authorities involved in trade-related issues, diplomatic and foreign affairs, economic research, international relations, and national promotional activities.
