Overview

This degree prepares students to work in the global marketplace with a particular focus on careers in marketing and related fields.

Students will study the latest in business marketing theories to understand customers, design product and brand strategies, and inform decisions about pricing, promotion and distribution. 

They will study core marketing and business subjects in the first two years. In third year, students undertake a compulsory work placement. In the final year, a business design project is designed to consolidate the theoretical and work experience components of the course. 

There are opportunities for students to deepen their knowledge by undertaking other marketing specialisations, such as retailing and societal marketing.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
