Overview

This degree features foundational and advanced coursework in exercise science, applied through a minimum of 500 hours of supervised clinical placement in exercise science and exercise physiology. With a deeper knowledge of the human body and how exercise affects it, an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) designs and delivers safe and effective exercise interventions that focus on clients with chronic and complex medical conditions, injuries and disabilities. These interventions include health and physical activity education, advice and support, and lifestyle medication. Graduates secure the skills required to competently assess, design and deliver exercise programs to improve health and performance, prevent chronic conditions, and treat or manage clinical conditions with a strong focus on achieving behavioural change.
