La Trobe’s finance major will give you the latest knowledge and skills to understand this changing landscape.

Offered through La Trobe’s Bachelor of Commerce you'll learn the latest finance knowledge and skills sought by today’s employers. Learn how to analyse and apply financial theory to extend your understanding of domestic and international foreign markets. Gain hands-on experiences in our financial trading room, applying information sources and financial tools to solve financial problems.

La Trobe's Bachelor of Commerce gives you the transferable and technical skills you need to prepare for the challenges of automation, the power of big data and analytics, and the rapid evolution of business and consumer technologies.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Majors

Finance.
