Overview

This dual degree explores the practices of journalism and the way in which the media and communication work together. In the communication component, students develop a critical awareness of how communication influences people's lives and specialise in areas of interest that tailor their career path. In the journalism component, they study reporting, investigation, editing, and communication and media contexts of journalism, creative problem-solving and learn to be an independent and reflective professional. Students have opportunities to complement their journalism training through domestic and international field trips and internship opportunities. Gain valuable insights into current practice through an on-site media and production support team, and professionals from leading media outlets.
