Overview

You will immerse yourself creatively, critically and practically when you study a double degree in creative arts and business at UOW. Practising artists and designers will develop a unique edge in managing their talents for professional purposes.

Where do art and business intersect? How can you mark your mark in a connected and competitive business world?

On completion, you will be able to answer these questions and more as you join one of the fastest-growing, most dynamic sectors in the world. As you learn alongside experts in their fields, you will explore themes in the creative industries as you build the practical commercial, business and administrative skills essential for a career in arts administration, publishing, musical entrepreneurship or management of performing arts centres, museums, theatres or galleries.

You will grow your knowledge across core skills in many business functions essential to the contemporary arts and creative industries, as well as specialist knowledge in a chosen field. You will learn to think and work creatively as you apply your business skills in the creative industries.

Design your degree to meet your career aspirations as you complete common theory and practice-based work complemented by individual majors. By expanding your specialisation, you will carve out a career of your choice and gain highly competitive skills in a global workplace.

Throughout this double degree, you will gain hands-on experience, develop your portfolio and make meaningful professional connections.
