Overview

A joint-venture with Victoria Police, the Bachelor of Criminology and Policing is the only course of its kind in Victoria, and provides a pathway to your policing career.

In the three-year program, you'll complete the core requirements of Monash’s Bachelor of Criminology, and have the opportunity to apply to undertake a Diploma of Policing with Victoria Police. If successful, you’ll continue your studies at the Victoria Police Academy in your third year, where you’ll be employed as a police recruit and gain practical experience and go on to work in the police force post-training.

Through the breadth and depth of our Bachelor of Criminology you’ll gain an understanding of crime, the broader context in which crime occurs, the drivers of criminal behaviour, and the limits of formal and informal responses to crime.

Successful students will complete two separate qualifications, Monash’s Bachelor of Criminology and Victoria Police’s Diploma of Policing, increasing your employability.
