Overview

This degree will give you the opportunity to qualify as a general primary school teacher and as a middle years specialist able to teach up to Year 10 in any two of the following teaching areas in secondary schools: Maths, Science, Health, Information & Communication Technologies, English/Literature and History. Your future career will see you as an important member of school communities, where you will work with students to year 10, fellow teachers and parents.

Areas of study: The first area of study must be Maths, English or Science. The second area of study can be Maths, English, Science, Health, History or Information Communication Technology (ICT).

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of Maths: General Mathematics or Maths: Mathematical Methods or Units 3 and 4: any Mathematics; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.
