Overview

Electrical engineers design, develop & supervise the manufacture, installation, operation & maintenance of electrical systems. They work on systems for the generation, distribution, utilisation & control of electric power and energy systems as well as electronic & control systems used for various domestic and industrial applications.

In this course you’ll gain an understanding of the processes behind the production & distribution of electricity to find better ways to utilise electrical power & new technologies such as renewable energy sources to meet the demands of modern living.

Electrical engineering is about being able to put those theories into practice to solve problems by making useful products and providing quality services. You’ll learn to do this by spending time on experiments in laboratory classes and designing projects

Specialist areas including energy conversion, power systems, renewable energy, process control & automation or high-voltage equipment.
