This pathway allows students to build on their existing knowledge enabling them to transfer into the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) specialisation of their choice, applicants transition to the second year of a named engineering specialisation of choice including Biomedical; Civil; Electrical and Electronic; Environmental; Maritime; Mechanical; Software or Robotic.
Flinders engineering students have the opportunity to undertake a 20-week industry placement as part of their degree. One of the longest work placements offered in Australia, it enables students to work alongside professional engineers tackling real-world problems.
Students will gain hands-on exposure to the cutting-edge equipment and facilities of Flinders University's technology precinct at Tonsley where this course is taught, and can undertake an integrated high-technology design consulting project, putting what they learn into practice.
