Overview

Build a career in environmental sustainability. Explore how humans interact with the environment, how we can manage it best, and how we can influence positive attitudes.

Develop skills in science communication and community engagement. With a focus on hands-on fieldwork in the natural environment, learn about ecology, geography, earth and soil science, water and coasts, pollution monitoring, conservation and ecotourism. Tailor your studies to your interests by choosing to major in Ecology and Conservation or Environmental Quality and Earth Sciences. You'll also complete minors in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Community Engagement.

Learn in a specialised immersive virtual environment on campus using Project LIVE visualisation technology, transforming traditional classroom activities into interactive learning. Access cutting-edge digital imagery from local environments and further afield, along with tools to process data and evaluate its meaning. Through this technology, you'll become familiar with the latest digital imaging, mapping and spatial analysis techniques.

Gain additional practical experience through hands-on field work and real-world projects. Continue your studies through the Master of Teaching (Secondary) to teach Environmental Science to Year 12 and Science to Year 10.
