Overview

From innovative design tools to digital artistic expression, this course will help you explore the growing intersection of Fine Art and Information Technology as you push the boundaries of what is possible in artistic practice.

In this course, you’ll work with some of Australia’s most successful artists, art theorists and cultural commentators to explore a variety of traditional and emerging production methods while developing your artistic skills in the studio. Combined with Information Technology, you will develop cutting edge technology skills - choosing from majors in Business Information Systems, Computer Networks and Security, Games and Immersive Media, or Software Development - and link your lateral thinking and problem-solving skills and graduate able to create innovative products, spaces and experiences using the latest technologies.

Be at the forefront of art and technology and explore all the potential careers it can lead to.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or Units 3 and 4: any Mathematics; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
