Overview

In our Bachelor of Health Sciences, you’ll explore the physical, social and environmental aspects of health and science. You’ll learn about the role of healthcare professionals and factors that influence health locally and around the world.

You’ll also be learning from academic staff with links to professional, government and corporate organisations such as the Australian Sports Commission, Cancer Council of Victoria, VicHealth and the AFL Players Association.

Through this flexible course, you can pursue up to two specialised areas, including public health, health promotion, rehabilitation counselling, and health, wellbeing and performance.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Environmental health (Bendigo, Melbourne and Online), Health promotion (Bendigo, Melbourne and Online), Health, wellbeing and performance (Bendigo, Melbourne and Online), Human physiological sciences (Melbourne only), Medical and exercise science (Bendigo only), Psychological science (Bendigo, Melbourne and Online), Public health (Bendigo, Melbourne and Online), Rehabilitation counselling (Bendigo, Melbourne and Online).
