Overview

Combine an interest and passion for physical activity, sport, exercise and nutrition with study in a wide range of arts disciplines in this dual program and gain creative and critical thinking skills, backed by an in-depth knowledge of human movement and nutrition sciences. Students explore human movement and nutrition across the lifespan and discover the roles that food, physical activity, exercise and sleep play in our health, the prevention of chronic disease, and sporting performance. Through UQ’s arts program students will have the opportunity to broaden their skill set by choosing from more than 45 study areas across the humanities, social sciences and languages. Students build a portfolio of skills and capabilities that can be transferred across industries such as health care, government, education, business and finance, and higher education. Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates frequently combine a Bachelor of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences / Bachelor of Arts with a postgraduate qualification to specialise in non-clinical or clinical areas such as dietetics, medical practice and physiotherapy.
