Technological innovation is transforming the way we live. As a result, humanities and social science disciplines are emerging as a crucial element in understanding where technology is taking us and what our human future will look like.

You’ll study a combination of humanities, business and STEM subjects and can specialise with a distinctive major. Develop the knowledge you need to respond to urgent questions about ethics, inequality and sustainability brought about by disruptive technologies. Choose from a broad range of innovative topics including data analytics, the science fiction imagination, cyber law and policy, and the philosophy of virtual reality.

You’ll be equipped with in-demand skills like innovative thinking, creative problem solving and critical analysis. You’ll also have the opportunity to tie together your studies and develop a portfolio of work to present to future employers.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Anthropology, Business analytics, Computer science, Cybersecurity, Digital business, Environment and sustainability, Ethics and social justice, Genetics, Information technology, Politics, Statistics.
