Overview

In this course, aspiring designers invent, visualise and prototype design solutions to complex problems in the form of new products, services and experiences.

Students explore the contemporary industrial design landscape and undertake practical learning in design visualisation and communication design thinking as well as the material and technological constructs of industrial design.

Across all levels of the course, students engage in the creative, industry partnered and research-led integration of learning through design studio projects. These experiences culminate in a self-directed design research project in the final year.

This course provides opportunities to engage in real-world projects within industry and community organisations and focuses on developing innovative designers with capability practice in emerging technological, sustainable and social domains of industrial design.
