Overview

Become an IT specialist and play a pivotal role in developing technology infrastructures while supporting the people who use them.

The course is developed with industry partners to reflect current IT trends and prepare you for a large and diverse array of job opportunities in the ICT industry. You will gain an excellent combination of knowledge and practical, hands-on skills that will enable you to pursue a career in roles such as Business Analyst, IT Consultant, Cloud Analyst, UX Developer, Entry-level Programmer, Junior Project Manager, Social Media Analyst, Dev Ops Specialist, and Cyber Security Specialist.

You can choose a major in one of the following industry-relevant career pathways: Cyber Security, Enterprise System Development, or Digital Innovation.

Your industry placement in the fourth year provides a unique opportunity to develop your professional and technical skills while creating and extending your professional network.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL or at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL); Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
