Step onto a world stage when you complete the Bachelor of International Studies at UOW.
You will examine the relationships of politics, society, language and history in a range of countries as you explore the way global forces and interactions increasingly influence domestic politics.
How have our political systems evolved over time? What are the current national and global issues, and how are they connected? On completion, you will be able to answer these questions and more as you develop a global mindset.
You'll benefit from our expertise in international relations, global development and sustainability and our focus on global media and communications. You will study a core group of international studies subjects, alongside selecting a major and foreign language minor. You will take part in a model United Nations and can choose from a range of electives covering issues from war and peace, to international law and the global political economy. Throughout this degree, you will have the opportunity to study abroad where you'll develop your cross-cultural understanding and apply your language skills in real-world settings.
For 753121: Global sustainable development, international history, international relations. All students complete a core of interdisciplinary international studies subjects. You must complete a language minor in one of the following languages: Chinese (Mandarin), French, Japanese, Spanish and one of the above majors. For 753123: Global sustainable development, international relations. Students enrolled at the Liverpool campus are not required to complete a language minor, but are welcome to do so at the Wollongong campus.
