Overview

Graduate with, law degree, including professional honours and the option to complete your Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) in just four years of study, fast-tracking your legal career.

Develop an advanced understanding of key legal principles, processes and methods; and build strong skills in analysis, reasoning, advocacy, negotiation and communication to solve complex legal problems.

You'll study fundamental courses and concepts that underpin the Australian legal system across areas such as torts, contracts, criminal law and constitutional law. Tailor your studies through, wide range of electives across health law, sports law, family law and human rights law.

Experience practical learning in, moot court and learn what it's like to present before, judge. Engage with our student-run Legal Advice Clinic, working with clients under the supervision of, managing solicitor. You can undertake an industry placement or community justice project, and there's opportunities to go on an overseas study experience. In final year, you can choose to complete your Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP), a compulsory qualification needed to practise as, barrister or solicitor in South Australia. Attend classes on campus with the option to study some courses online.

You'll also graduate with, degree accredited by the Australian Law School Standards Committee (ALSSC) of the Council of Australian Law Deans (CALD).

This double degree covers the academic requirements for admission to practise law (the Uniform Admissions Rules) as specified by the National Law Admissions Consultative Committee Students may enter the Bachelor of Business (Legal Studies) (DBLS) and apply for transfer into the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) program with credit, subject to meeting academic criteria.
