Overview

The Bachelor of Management provides integrated insights into the functions of professional enterprises in the experience economy and related digital industries. The program involves a combination of both theory and practice-oriented education, with the option of workplace internships. Offshore partnerships with established UTS university partners allow students to engage with the UTS exchange program in the later stages of their degree. Partnerships with industry bodies allow students to engage with practical projects, field visits, in-class case studies, and internships, all of which assist with prospects for graduate employment.

Bachelor of Management (Digital Creative Enterprise) is designed to prepare students to work in dynamic digital industries that underpin the creative economy, whether in respect of transitory or perennial consumer goods and services. Students undertake cross-faculty, transdisciplinary studies through Creative Intelligence and Innovation subjects that emphasise cognitive versatility, agile thinking, and modern forms of collaboration.

Bachelor of Management (Events) is developed with strong industry input and delivers applied and up-to-date event management education. Students develop a solid understanding of sequential steps associated with the design, development, planning, promotion, and implementation of events of different purpose, scale, and scope. There is an emphasis on innovation, along with evaluation of the political, economic, and social contexts in which events are made meaningful. Subjects develop the knowledge and professional skills necessary to embark on a career in the events industry.

Bachelor of Management (Sport Business) prepares students to work in the multi-billion- dollar global sport industry. This sector continues to experience significant growth in professionalism, revenue generation, and employee volume at all levels, whether in the professional or community sport sectors. UTS has industry connections across multiple codes of sport as well as national and international sports bodies. Through the development of applied knowledge and the opportunity of workplace internships, students gain a thorough understanding of the Australian and international sports industries, the role sport plays in culture and society, and the interrelationships between sports bodies and their key stakeholders.

Bachelor of Management (Strategic Innovation and Entrepreneurship) prepares students to become successful entrepreneurs and innovators. The program provides students with a broad understanding of strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, and business management, with a focus on developing the skills and knowledge needed to start and grow successful businesses. Students in the program will develop skills in identifying and evaluating business opportunities, developing strategic business plans, and managing other key aspects of business management. In addition, the program emphasizes the importance of creativity, innovation, and problem-solving in entrepreneurship. Students will have opportunities to work on real-world projects, network with entrepreneurs and business leaders, and gain practical experience through internships. Graduates will be prepared for a range of careers in entrepreneurship and business management.

Bachelor of Management (Sustainability and Social Impact) is an ideal program for students passionate about social entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and creating positive social and environmental impact. The program provides a comprehensive education that prepares students to lead change and make a positive difference in their communities and the world. Students will have opportunities to work on real-world projects, network with industry professionals and gain practical experience through internships.
