Flinders University - Bedford Park Campus
The Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences (Honours) has been designed to provide graduates with a strong foundation in both the theoretical and the practical aspects of applied mathematics and statistics and the ability to critically analyse and evaluate mathematical and statistical information, to create models and solve problems.
On completion of the degree students will be able to proficiently use mathematical skills and knowledge to analyse and systematically develop complex systems and develop mathematical solutions that address problems arising from a variety of social, political, international, economic and environmental contexts. And will be able to apply research skills appropriate to postgraduate research or advanced industrial investigation.
The Australian Mathematical Society does not formally accredit university degrees but does publish accreditation standards. Flinders University's mathematical sciences degrees have been designed to exceed these standards.
