A proportion of medical places (Bonded Medical Places) are reserved for applicants who sign a contract with the Australian Government agreeing, at the conclusion of their training, to practice in a government designated area of medical need for a period of 3 years. Further information: Bonded Medical Places (BMP)

This offering is only available to applicants who have completed Year 12 studies (or VCE equivalent) no more than two years prior, and have not undertaken any other studies at a tertiary level including Cert IV. International students may not apply for this option. The Dean's Rural List and the Monash University Indigenous Student Access Scheme are applicable as explained for Medicine - school leaver entry. NZ citizens require an Australian Permanent Resident Visa to be eligible for this scheme. Special Category Visas are not considered.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 35 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 30 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in Chemistry.
