Overview

This course is for applicants who have completed an ANMAC accredited and NMBA approved Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115), and hold NMBA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.

This flexible degree, thoroughly grounded in biosciences and evidence-based care, will give you an excellent theoretical and clinical foundation to start your career as a registered nurse.

The degree consists of theory, nursing laboratory skills, clinical simulation and clinical practise. Medical Surgical nursing, primary and community health and mental health nursing are also covered.

You'll undertake clinical practice in each year, in a range of healthcare settings, including major metropolitan hospitals, rural health services and the community sector.

Students are prepared for clinical practice in our simulation laboratories and group tutorials while guided by staff with clinical expertise.

Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates find employment as Registered Nurses, in medical and health facilities across the country. Some also further their career through specialisation such as Mental Health graduate year courses and critical care.
