Overview

The Bachelor of Nursing will prepare you to enter a career as a Registered Nurse in the Australian healthcare environment. You will learn vital skills in assessment and clinical decision-making, person-centred care, professional communication, enquiry and research, awareness of diversity and self-care practices. The course will provide you with an opportunity to deliver care in multiple health care, industry and community settings, in complex environments of healthcare systems.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in any English.

Majors

Care of the Acutely Ill Person, Clinical Practice, Evidence Based Practice, First Peoples Culture, History and Health, Human Biology and Disease, Structure and Function of the Human Body, Therapeutic Use of Medicines.

Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates will be able to work in private or public hospitals, aged care, disability and rehabilitation, school and other community-based settings.
