Diploma in Health [City West]

Students undertake the Diploma in Health as an alternative pathway that will guarantee you entry into UniSA and UniSA Onlines popular health-related degrees.

The Diploma in Health is a two-year program providing a direct pathway into Biomedical Science; Exercise and Sport Science; Health Science (Public Health); Human Movement; Laboratory Medicine; Nursing; Nutrition and Food Sciences; Outdoor and Environmental Leadership; Pharmaceutical Science and Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience) degrees at UniSA. Pathways to online programs are also available including Community Health; Health Science; Health Science (Healthy Ageing); Health Science (Nutrition & Exercise); and Public Health.

In the first year, you'll complete introductory courses in your disciplinary area of focus as well as core courses that will develop your critical writing, communication, numeracy, and research skills. In the second year, you'll start studying first-year courses from your linked UniSA or UniSA Online degree. You'll access the same lectures and tutorials as other first-year bachelor students, but you can rely on UniSA College for extra support.

Upon successful completion of the diploma, students will seamlessly transition into the second year of their selected UniSA degree. Students wishing to pursue a health program not listed above (including Medical Imaging; Midwifery; Occupational Therapy; Physiotherapy; Podiatry; Speech Pathology) should preference UniSA Foundation Studies (SATAC Code: 427021) as a more suitable pathway.
