Overview

Champion nutrition and exercise to promote community health and wellbeing. This fully online degree allows you to study a variety of topics across health, nutrition, exercise, business, and psychology, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to support the development and growth of healthy communities. You will become a knowledgeable advocate for the role of nutrition and exercise in supporting community health and wellbeing. With an additional focus on counselling and communication skills, this course will prepare you to become a contemporary, client-centred health practitioner who can work effectively with teams, organisations and individuals from a variety of backgrounds. You will also understand and navigate the complexities of health behaviour changes and know how to apply technologies to support health practice and intervention.

Graduates from this course will have advanced, real-world knowledge and skills to promote healthy nutrition and engaging and safe physical activity within a wide range of settings including public health, health education, or health promotion. And will be able to advocate for healthy nutrition and safe physical activity to promote healthy individuals and communities across a wide range of settings including public health, health education, or health promotion.

Multi-disciplinary learning allows students to study topics across health, nutrition, exercise, business, education and psychology, gaining diverse knowledge and skills to promote healthy communities. The additional focus on communication skills enables graduates to promote nutrition and exercise using a variety of communication media, while topics on counselling teaching basic skills on influencing healthy behaviour change.
