Overview

Drawing on the most current knowledge and methods in the occupational, behavioural, social and biomedical sciences, this internationally recognised course uses a combination of traditional and scenario-based learning methods and teaching techniques. You will develop expertise in working cooperatively to seek out information and apply your learning to situations relevant to occupational therapy practice. Your studies will draw from the disciplines of occupational science (the study of humans as occupational beings), as well as inter-professional education and occupational therapy practice.

You will complete 1000 hours of fieldwork to apply your knowledge and skills in a range of clinical and professional practice settings, and undertake a participatory community practice-based project or an Honours thesis.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
