Overview

Graduate with honours and prepare for, career as, registered physiotherapist in just four years. Develop the capability to assess, treat and prevent health conditions, enabling people to lead healthy and functional lives. Focus on various areas of practice, including sports, musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurological conditions.

Study courses in human anatomy, human physiology, physiotherapy studies, pharmacology, exercise physiology, and pain sciences. Benefit from more than 45 weeks of practical experience in, range of clinical settings, including our on-campus physiotherapy clinics where you'll learn under the supervision of industry experts.

Complete, research stream that focuses on an independent research project, or, professional stream where you'll take part in, group project addressing, real-world challenge.

Graduate with, degree accredited by the Australian Physiotherapy Council and satisfy the academic requirements for registration as, physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. You'll also be eligible for membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Pre-Placement Requirements:

All students who, as part of their program, undertake activities where interaction with patients/the public is required, such as in field or clinical placements/visits and in University clinics and gyms, must satisfy the pre-placement requirements prior to commencement. These may include: Criminal history screenings, Department of Human Services (DHS) checks, Vaccinations and screening for communicable diseases, Professional training and certification

The Master of Physiotherapy (Graduate Entry) is available for students from other health-related bachelor degrees seeking, pathway into physiotherapy.

CAREERS Registered physiotherapists can work in, variety of settings, including: Private practice, clinics, sport and exercise services, rehabilitation centres, hospitals, home and community services, disability services, aged care facilities, women's health, paediatric services, research
