Overview

This degree prepares graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to progress to postgraduate studies and training in psychology for those intending to pursue registration as a psychologist. The psychology sequence provides comprehensive coverage of psychology, including lifespan development, biological, social and abnormal psychology, individual differences, psychological and research methods, as well as other areas of applied psychology. The Commerce component provides excellent grounding in all areas of business as well as detailed knowledge and skills in the particular chosen major. Our graduates understand the ethical, social, political and economic contexts that guide decision-making.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: As for Year 12 or equivalent.

Majors

Commerce, Psychology.
