Overview

This course is only available to applicants who are completing Year 12 in 2021 as well as applicants who completed Year 12 in 2020 and 2019.

Years 1–3 are at Albury-Wodonga campus; year 4 is at Melbourne.

This degree is designed for high-achieving students who wish to become professional psychologists, undertake research or build careers in psychology-related fields. You'll gain an understanding of clinical psychology, health psychology, behavioural neuroscience, social psychology, cognition, developmental psychology and psychological interventions.

You'll have opportunities to learn about the work of professional psychologists, including those at our psychology clinic. You'll also have a chance to complete a field placement or study autism spectrum disorders with experts from the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre.

Your fourth year is an Honours year, giving you the opportunity to complete an individual research project under supervision and supported by relevant seminars. You'll also gain a deeper understanding of psychological interventions and assessment while exploring the ethical and professional issues that psychologists address when working with clients.

One of English Standard, English Advanced (Band 2), English as an Additional Language or Dialect (Band 3).
