Overview

If you elect to study the Bachelor of Science in a single degree course, in addition to your choice from over 25 majors (each requiring eight units of focused study), you'll have eight free elective units. These will enable you to further develop your knowledge of your major area should you choose, or science more broadly with a second major or a minor.

Alternatively, you can select any units from across the University in which you are eligible to enrol. You might complete a major or minor from another faculty: perhaps you seek an additional language or information technology capability, or media and communications skills. Or you might study a range of units to broaden your knowledge, experience and enjoyment. This could include an extra internship, a global experience or an exchange program - the choice is broad. Career opportunities will span traditional fields as well as emerging areas and will be dependent upon your individual program of study.
